Fantastic Man

Fantastic Man is a bi-annual men’s fashion magazine. Launched in 2005, Fantastic Man presents men’s fashion by having detailed interviews with male celebrities and intellectuals from various backgrounds. They print the cover on a canvas-type stock which is really interesting, the paper they use is a matte texture, almost like newspaper, but a thicker stock. What I like about Fantastic Man is that the layout is very simple, minimal and clean. It sticks to a more traditional layout and typefaces, and uses three-column grid for articles. Although it’s more traditional, they’ve designed it in a way that feels modern and stylish, and the content is also well written and in-depth. —Sara Chou
