Ray Gun

Ray Gun is an American alternative rock n roll magazine, first published in 1992. Davis Carson was its art director, who is well known for his experimental typographic style in the 1990's. Type in Ray Gun is used as an expression, not as a communication device. Carson takes advantage of whatever form type can shape so he can use it as texture and imagery in order to express his aesthetic.—Caroline Partridge
