Giant Robot

Giant Robot Magazine is a bi-monthly magazine that features API (Asian Pacific Islander) pop culture and news in their issues covering anything and everything music, art, toy designs, anime, entertainment etc.. Founded by Eric Nakamura and Eric Wong in 1994 the magazine has also expanded to several stores across the country showcasing local designers like Shizu Saldamando, Carol Bui, and David Choe. The mix of cover stories and random street art drawings makes a beautiful contrast to the clean and simplistic typography seen in many of the editorials in the magazine. I like that a lot of the editing and publishing was done by the artist themselves as well. –Huy Tran
