Sappi: Managing Color

This publication, Sappi: Managing Color, is part of a series of magazines produced by Sappi. The series are incredibly easy to understand yet very detailed guides that cover every aspect of production. This specific publication covers color management when translating a file from the digital realm to paper. It covers the basics and more advanced options in printing, different types of ink, different types of paper, and different file settings on the computer.

I find this publication to be especially wonderful because of it's comparative slides. In the well of the magazine the pages are split horizontally in the middle of the page so that you can flip the top or the bottom of the page to compare different printing style results.

In the back of the publication there is a useful glossary of terms. This is basically the color management in print production bible and I highly advice everyone interested in the production of their print work invest in purchasing this series of guides by sappi. –Alex Bulloch
