Time Magazine: Style and Design

At first glance, Time Magazine looks like another publication that covers instant news and information about popular culture in the fashion industry. What really struck me about the Style and Design guide was how easy it was to read through the spreads without any distractions. With many fashion magazines, editors will usually elaborate and go into depth about certain details, focus, and overall creativity when showcasing different collections within the spread which can be hard to follow. With Time’s Style and Design issues they have managed to clean up most of their events and cut to the mere facts of anything they have covered. The Tom Ford interview stated where he was at the moment with his career in fashion and a quick back story of how he got to where he is. His spread is consistent and easy to follow. Overall I enjoyed Time Magazine’s Style and Design because of its simplicity making it an easy read. –Huy Tran
